Integrating Mental Health into SRHR Sessions

Memory Jere, Acting Senior In-Charge & Nurse, Chanjobvu Rural Health Facility. Before the REPSSI project, Memory Jere focused mainly on providing medical treatment and basic SRHR information. “Now, I combine mental health awareness with SRHR messages in every session, and it has completely changed how young people respond,” she said.

Youth Engagement Drives Change

Samuel Phiri, from Sinda, serves on the Youth Advisory Committee for the REPSSI project. He remembers a time when young people didn’t know where to get accurate SRHR information. “There was a lot of confusion, stigma, and fear around these topics,” he said.
